Extension reconfiguration

 

To whom it may concern,

 

Simon and his team rebuilt our utility room in July 2011. The work involved demolishing and clearing the existing structure, rebuilding the structure in the same style as the rest of the house (brick and tile), installing a downstairs cloakroom, plumbing in the washing machine under the utility room bench, moving the dishwasher out of the original site and installing it in the kitchen, re-configuring the kitchen cabinets and replacing all doors and worktops.

Scope Renovations were invaluable with the advice that we were given from ideas for layout to helping to select the correct windows, velux windows, tiles and fittings. As a busy, professional family, this was much appreciated as we did not have the time to source all of these things. The tiling of the floor was exceptional as Simon managed to source tiles that were almost exactly the same as the ones in the adjacent kitchen. During the process, we asked for some extra jobs to be done. One involved putting up new shelves in our kitchen where the walls are not at all level and removing the original back door step (circa 1905) , so the step down into the new utility room was minimal. Simon and his team tackled these extremely tricky tasks with confidence.  We are very pleased with the work.

In addition to the planned work, Simon’s team also built a new deck out the back of the house and installed new outdoor lighting. This has been an invaluable addition to our house and has changed the way our family lives. It was wonderful to get ideas from a team that had ‘vision’ and could help us see that vision, too.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Scope Renovations for any work and would hire them again should the need arise. Simon’s team were professional, reliable and good value for money.

Bathroom Renovation, Southfields SW London

 

"I employed Scope Renovations to install a new bathroom. The bathroom required complete renovation, including building works to fit a smaller window as well as changing the position of the soil pipe within the bathroom. The job also required extensive tiling, fitting flooring (and underfloor heating), lighting and installing the bathroom suit. Simon provided advice and suggestions along the way and was incredibly accommodating when I changed my mind or couldn't decide which tile to go for!

 

As with a lot of projects, there were bumps along the way, mainly due to problems with independent suppliers and old house filled with idiosyncrasies. Simon took these in his stride with patience and flexibility despite delays to the project overall. Simon ensured there was minimal disruption to the rest of house and at the end of each cleaned up and ensured there was a working toilet. The work was reasonably priced and all additions and extra work was discussed and invoiced as agreed at the time.

 

I would not hesitate to recommend Simon for any work and will definitely be calling on his services again. He is a consummate professional and I was happy to have him in my house for 3 weeks!"

Simon was extremely punctual, trustworthy and friendly. He has completed the job to an exceptionally high standard, including clearing away and after care. He worked long hours to finish the job to his own high expectations. Working until gone 7pm one night. We have already asked him to come and sort out the rest of our home. I highly recommend Simon although we don't want him working too hard as we want him for our jobs!

Simon did a fantastic job and worked late into the day/ early evening to make sure he got it done in a day, as agreed, even though it was slightly more work than he (and I) had anticipated!
